Brazilian Entrepreneur Carlos Alberto de Oliveira Andrade is the founder of the CAOA; where he currently serves as chairman for their Board of Directors. The CAOA has become the largest Ford dealership in South America. For three years in the row, CAOA has earned the recognition for being the Most Admired Company by Carta Capital.
A respected physician in the North and Northeast parts of Brazil, Carlos Alberto de Oliveira Andrade began his career in the automotive industry in 1979. When he took partnership of a Ford dealership in Campina Grande, six years later he established his company the CAOA Group; this was the start of his South American automotive empire.
There are among 179 Hyundai deals worldwide, Dr. Carlos was awarded Distributor of the Year by South Korea’s Hyundai Motor Company. This marked the first time; the award has been given to a distributor outside of Europe. This is the highest honor a Hyundai dealer can hope to achieve. In 2007 Carlos Alberto de Oliveira Andrade opened the first Hyundai plant in Brazil, the Hyundai CAOA Plant S/A. The plant’s manufacturing capabilities have continued to grow into a 1.2 billion dollar enterprise. The Hyundai plant is located in the Agribusiness District of Anápolis; they choose to build it in the state of Goiás because they wanted to choose a geographic position that would provide economic growth.
The CAOA Group began selling the HB20 model in 2012, produced at the Hyundai Brazil plant in Piracicaba, in addition, they also produce the i30, i30cw, Veloster, Elantra, Sonata, Azera, Genesis, Equus, Ix35 Flex, Santa Fe, Vera Cruz and Tucson Flex and the line of trucks HR and HD78. In 2013, the company introduced to the market the new Santa Fe, five and seven seats, equipped with the Lambda II 3.3 l engine; it is produced at the Anápolis factory. The company invested nearly 600 million to incorporate modern robotics into their manufacturing process that guarantees higher levels of production quality therefore increasing customer satisfaction. The company continues to pride themselves on its high quality production value.
